Pronounced like "music"...it's not a stage name either.
Chelsea just turned 16 years old on June 27th 2009.
Chelsea Musick was born in Tennessee on the Ft. Campbell Military Base. The base in located on the border of Tennessee and Kentucky. Her father served in the 101st Airborne Division, where he was deployed earlier to the Desert Storm War in Iraq. They relocated later to NJ.

At the tender age of Two, Chelsea watched a young performer sing in a talent pageant. Chelsea immediately developed an extreme interest in music, and wanted to sing too. She practiced and had her first live appearance at 2 years old. She loved to perform on stage and wanted to perform more. She began to performed at many local talent pageants that year.

At the age 4 years old, Chelsea was selected to be on the AL ALBERTS TV SHOWCASE on ABC TV in Philadelphia, PA. They were so impressed with her voice and stage presence, they immediately continued to have her on the show. Chelsea later auditioned for the Sound of Music and landed her first acting debut at the age of 5, when she played the role of Gretel in "The Sound of Music" for a local production.

Chelsea at 5 years old, began singing for the Veterans and Military. Chelsea started at this young age to get exposure in the state of NJ. She began entertaining the locals at nearby festivals and events. It wasn't long before Chelsea was a household name in her home-town state. Chelsea began traveling aboard, performing nearly every weekend at any place she could sing.

Chelsea, at 8 years old, was asked to sing for the Emmanuel Cancer Foundation Walk. She was heard singing her rendition of God Bless the USA, by the owner of the Minor League Baseball Camden Riversharks Team. He immediately asked her to sing at his next upcoming game. This was in September of 2001, right after the 9/11 attack. Chelsea brought thousands of audience members to tears with this performance. The River Sharks immediately asked her to join the baseball association, and became a regular singer for the Baseball team. Chelsea did opening day for many years for them and sung many times through the years. She was also contacted to sing for the Philadelphia 76ers Basketball team and the Philadelphia Kixx Soccer league. She continues to sing the anthem at numerous live and sporting events. Chelsea also performed for the past 2 Governors of NJ and many state Senators.

Chelsea always had a love for Country music. She went to her first concert at the age of 8 to see Trisha Yearwood. At that moment, she stated she wanted to be a country music artist like Trisha Yearwood. Chelsea began to sing anything that was country. Even at that young age, Chelsea realized she needed to travel to bigger places to reach her dreams of becoming a famous Country recording star. Chelsea recorded a Demo CD and sent it to over 100 record labels around the country. She performed at over 100 events that year. Chelsea entered, at the age of 8 years old, a chance to be in the (True Value Showdown), which is now The Colgate Country Showdown. Chelsea was the youngest contestant ever to be allowed to compete in the competition, still to this date. Although she didn't win, she received a lot of exposure from the show.

When Chelsea was 9, She auditioned out of 100,000 of national hopefuls to land a spot on National TV, NBC'S America's Most Talented Kid, in California. She was chosen to perform on the show. Chelsea won that week of the show and "Wowed" the Judges, Jermaine Jackson, Daisey Fuetes and Lance Bass. Chelsea began to play the piano and the guitar and continued to sing out at events and functions.

In June of 2007, Chelsea Co-wrote the song, 'I Wish You Were Here', with songwriter Nile Peaytt, from Nashville over myspace. This song was included on a Worldwide charity CD project called “Songs for the Cure”. All proceeds from her song were donated to charity to fight against cancer.
Later that same year, Chelsea visited Nashville. She had the chance to play at the Commodore and the Fuel house in Nashville.
Chelsea met with many industry professionals that told her to hone her craft and she had to song-write as much as possible.

Over the years, Chelsea opened in concert for many people/functions including Recording Artist, Mark Wills, LoneStar, Sara Evans, Jason Michael Carrol, Sara Johns, The Lost Trailers and Gloriana.

Chelsea at age 15, this past year, co-produced,and released her Debut CD, recorded in Nashville. She wrote 5 of the songs herself and co-wrote 3 of the 11 songs on the CD.

Now at the age of 16, Chelsea Musick is one of the freshest new Country acts on the rise.
In the past few months, Chelsea has brought a new sound to the Country music scene and is beginning to get air play at the local radio stations, and HD radio.
